Yes, you can. We have the latest version of
ActiveState Perl installed. To use perl (.pl)
scripts just upload your perl (.pl) scripts to
the \cgi-bin folder available in your root folder.
UNIX scripts require you to provide the path to
Perl. This is not required in Perl scripts in
Windows. The first line in a UNIX Perl script
will normally be something like #!usr/bin/perl.
To run on Windows 2000/2003 servers, this should
be changed to #!perl
4. Can I use databases like
MsAccess?
Yes, all Bronze plans and above support databases
like MsAccess. To connect to these databases,
you either use a ODBC connection or a DSN-LESS
connection. Based on experience, DSN-LESS connections
tend to offer better performance and scalability.
ODBC connections can be set through your control
panel
5. Can I register additional ActiveX or
COM dlls on your server?
No, in order to ensure server stability and
performance this is not allowed. However, most accounts
already come preinstalled with the basic components
